Dr Avela Fihla is an independent medical practitioner and founder of Green Medical Care. He obtained his MBChB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).

He completed his medical internship at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital and GJ Crookes Hospital, gaining comprehensive clinical experience across major disciplines. He served as a Community Service Medical Officer at Untunjambili Hospital, further strengthening his skills in rural and primary health care.

Dr Fihla holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Essential Surgical Skills (BESS), and Basic Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS).

He is committed to accessible, patient-centred care and has a strong interest in primary health care delivery, emergency medicine, and the use of point-of-care diagnostics to improve outcomes in resource-limited settings.

Dr Siyabonga Shongwe completed his MBChB at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (2022), followed by his internship at Job Shimankana Tabane Hospital (North West) and community service at Themba Hospital (Mpumalanga). He has clinical experience in emergency care, general surgery and primary health care, and holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Emergency Management of Severe Burns (EMSB), Emergency Medicine Approach to Trauma (EMMAT) and Basic Surgical Skills (BSS). He focuses on primary health care and holistic medicine, and is passionate about improving access to quality care in underserved communities.
